Three Ireland to create 130 new jobs in Waterford

Mobile phone operator Three Ireland is to employ 130 staff at a new customer service centre in Waterford.

Fifty six staff from Rigney Dolphin, which previously supplied customer care to Three in Waterford, will have an opportunity to transfer to the new unit – under a legal right to follow the work. The new facility will employ 130 people in total , representing a net increase of 74 jobs.

“This announcement will enhance Three’s customer service operations and bring valuable jobs to the Waterford area. We have already announced an additional 90 full time positions at the Three Customer Care centre in Limerick, bringing the total employees there to 440” said Robert Finnegan, CEO, Three Ireland.

Meanwhile in Cork, Tesco is opening a new store in Ballincollig, creating 104 jobs for the area.
