Well done Ireland West Airport Knock who had a record breaking year in 2014! In the 12 months of last year the airport recorded over 700,000 passengers using the airport on it’s British routes. The routes to London airports saw a substantial increase, particularly Ryanair‘s Knock to Stansted and Luton airports saw 40,000 (20%) more passengers than 2013. Overall, traffic to the UK from the airport saw a rise of 9.4% compared to 2013.
Ireland West Airport Knock is proving to be a functional gateway to the west and north west of Ireland with this growing level of usage. So far, 7 different local authorities have agreed in principal to invest in the airport.
