Irish Unemployment Rate On The Decrease & Services Sector Activity On The Rise

Activity in the services sector, which covers businesses from banks to hotels, has grown at its fastest rate in April for the previous 7 years. The Investec Purchasing Manager’s Index shows the activity for the sector rose from 60.7 in March to 61.9 for April.

This activity has played a key role in Ireland’s unemployment rate falling below the EU average to 11.7%. Click here for more on this story.
