Ireland – An Island Of Entrepreneurs

2014 saw just under 18,000 new companies set up in Ireland which was the first time we had more than 17,000 start-ups in a year since the financial crisis began. Now, 2015 looks set to surpass that figure! According to Vision-net.ie there has already been 3,713 new companies registered in the month of January.

This is a huge number of start-ups for any month and is an increase of 22.5% compared to the same month last year. The most popular sector for start-ups last month was professional services, accounting for approx 26% of start-ups.
