Granite Digital To Create 50 Jobs With €2.5m Investment

Tech company Granite Digital is to create 50 jobs in its Dublin, Cork and Galway offices as part of a €2.5m investment.

The jobs being created are in both technology and creative areas.

And they will bring the firm’s workforce to more than 100 within the next three years.

The investment comes as the company, which helps businesses with websites, online marketing, strategy and security, has more than doubled its revenue to €5m over the past three years.

It plans to further its income to €10m by 2022.

“The demand for customer-focused, engaging websites and applications has grown exponentially in recent years and we’ve experienced significant growth on the back of this, consolidating our position as Ireland’s leading full-service digital agency,” said CEO Conor Buckley.

Set up in Skibbereen, Co Cork, in 2008 by four friends, the company has expanded to a team of 60 people with offices in four countries.

Granite’s clients include Enterprise Ireland, Dalata Hotel Group, UCC, UCD, Uniphar, St James’s Hospital, Bons Secours Health System, Dublin Bus, Davy, Fexco and insurance group Aon.

Mr Buckley described setting up during the recession as “an advantage”.

“While it was difficult at the time, we didn’t know any different as we were not around for the boom.

“We kept our cost base low and our pricing competitive,” he said.
