Lloyds Pharmacies, the biggest chain of pharmacies in the Republic of Ireland has seen tremendously encouraging results from 2014, showing that businesses are battling hard to regain confidence in Ireland. In particular, for the Christmas shopping season Lloyd’s Pharmacies recorded an 18% increase in sales compared to the same period in 2013.
2014 saw the addition of 14 new stores for bringing the total number to 87. Strong sales have also been achieved throughout the year with online sales enjoying a 37% increase compared to the year previous. The best-selling products for the Christmas period were all sold for €15 or less. The company has indicated that it plans to build on this growth with the introduction of new products.
