Irish flag bearer Aer Lingus has reported a boost to Q3 profits this year due to long haul flights with revenues rising to over €509m for the three months.

The US routes were particularly strong performers for the airline as RTE have reported their revenue on these flights rose by 34%. Weather conditions have not hampered operations for the airline thus far in the year and hopefully that will continue to be the case for all airlines bringing loved ones home for the Christmas holidays!
