30 new Limerick jobs at Kirby Group

LIMERICK based Kirby Engineering Group has announced the creation of 30 new jobs at its operations in Raheen.

Minister for Finance Michael Noonan made the announcement this Friday as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary. The new posts are for a variety of engineering and construction roles including project management, site management and quantity surveying.

Kirby Group has already hired 30 new staff since the start of the year after continued strong growth in its Irish and UK business. Turnover for 2014 is expected to increase by 20% from €90m in 2013, which grew from €64m in 2012.

The company’s group managing director Fergus Frawley said that the strong growth that Kirby has experienced in recent years is continuing in 2014. “We are continuing to secure significant new business wins both in Ireland and the UK. On the back of this, we will are continuing our recruitment drive for experienced engineering talent. We are proud to be playing our part in answering Ireland’s job creation needs,” Mr Frawley added.
