Two companies have announced the creation of 154 jobs across the country.

Technical support firm Trusource Labs is to open an international operations centre in Limerick, creating 134 jobs over the next three years.

The Texas-based company specialises in support for businesses that use Apple devices and the ‘internet of things’.

It employs over 600 people in the US and is a member of the Apple Consultants Network.

Trusource co-founder Alton Martin said: ‘We are enthusiastic to bring our innovative customer experience model to Ireland. It is our first step in a larger global growth plan, and we are grateful for IDA’s partnership and support.”

Finance Minister Michael Noonan welcomed the new jobs. “Trusource Labs and Limerick are about to start a mutually beneficial partnership,” he said.

Meanwhile, a global provider of data-elimination, Wisetek, is to add 20 roles after opening its first secure operations facility in Dublin. The jobs will be at its base in Cork and its new location in Dublin. It offers services including the financial management of clients’ used IT infrastructure equipment.

Wisetek chief executive Sean Sheehan said there is a growing cluster of data centres in Dublin. “Our existing Dublin customers and other companies are increasingly seeking global services solutions for the optimum management of their used IT infrastructure systems to ensure they achieve global standards for data security, financial recovery and full assurance that their used IT systems are being processed to their highest environmental standards.”
