NearForm, an IT company based in Waterford, are planning an expansion of their business which will result in an additional 100 jobs over the next year. The company build stable, fast and versatile business platforms to bring cloud computing to large enterprises. They claim Condé Nast, Intel, Qualcomm and Universal among their list of clients. NearForm, who have not sought outside funding, plan to open a small Dublin office soon as part of their sustainable growth plans.
The new jobs will mainly be in development and other roles will be in marketing, sales, finance and project management. Despite much pressure to move to the US, NearForm Chief Executive Cian Ó Maidín made the decision to keep the company and the jobs here in Ireland. For the full article see the today’s Irish Times.
