IT services company Version 1 is to create up to 100 jobs at its base in Dublin. The announcement follows an €8m investment in the company by the Government supported BDO Development Capital Fund which was set up earlier this year.

The investment, which is the first by the fund, will enable Version 1’s further expansion into the UK and the creation of up to 100 additional IT consultancy jobs in Ireland.

Version 1 was founded in 1996 by Justin Keatinge and currently employs 500 people here, and in the UK.

“Version 1 is enjoying a very exciting stage,” Keatinge said. “Today’s announcement provides us with the investment needed to take our growth and planned development through acquisition.”
