Galway & Waterford Jobs Boost

260 jobs are being created between Galway and Waterford by two science firms.

Galway

Creagh Medical are creating 100 new jobs at it’s manufacturing facility in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. The announcement is a huge boost to the area as Minister Naughten explained that 100 jobs for Ballinasloe is the equivalent of 1,000 jobs for Galway city.

Creagh Medical have developed and grown into a market leader for development and manufacturing of balloon catheters from their purpose built facility at the IDA Business Park in Ballinasloe.

The jobs are to be crated over the next 5 years and are hope to attract further investment from other medical device companies to the area.

Waterford

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories are creating an additional 160 jobs over the next 5 years also as part of a major development and expansion project at its Waterford base. The move will bring the Irish operation headcount to 500 by 2021.
