Construction Leading The Jobs Growth Trend

The CIF has today claimed that there are 1,000 jobs being generated each month in the construction industry. While construction was one of the heavier hit jobs sector in the recent economic crash in Ireland, demand for these skills are in high demand once more as a strong recovery is allegedly showing itself in property prices.

Transferable Skills

There is a shortage of Architects and Quantity & Building Surveyors in Ireland at the moment with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and Engineers Ireland raising concerns that we will not have enough graduates to fill the 2,000 vacancies expected over the next three years. The CIF are highlighting the flexibility of how the skill sets used in surveying and architecture are transferable across a number of sectors as courses for these jobs are now covering a more broad range of modules.
