Ballymaguire Foods has started construction on their new plant in Lusk, Co. Dublin which is estimated to create 100 jobs in the construction phase. The ready meal maker currently employs 150 staff and hopes to fill graduate jobs in Marketing & Sales, Food Scientists & Technicians, R&D, Chefs and general operators over the next three years.

Ballymaguire supplies prepared foods to supermarkets such as Lidl, Aldi, Tesco and Centra and with the construction of the 70,000 square-foot facility in North Dublin they will be manufacturing chilled ready meals. Ballymaguire’s expansion is a significant investment and their target is to produce 500,000 meals per week. The increase in production should be good news for local farmers as Ballymaguire currently sources 676 tonnes of beef, 2,600 tonnes of potatoes, 2,080 tonnes of vegetables, 780 tonnes of dairy produce and 572 tonnes of chicken per year in Ireland.
